Tom Wright is a British architect. He is best known for having designed the Burj Al Arab. He also built the Millenium Residence in Bangkok. Along with Hakim Khennouchi and Geku Kuravilla he created a new firm – WKK. They are involved in several projects currently underway. In spite of Burj Al Arab, the number of executed projects, and the number of ongoing projects there isn’t a lot written about Wright. And yet he is featured in the list of The 10 Greatest Modern Architects of Our Time. Seeing his name alongside much bigger names suggests to me that perhaps in Wrigth’s case we are looking at a more limited list of grand accomplishments, but when combined with potential we have the making of a legend.
