I have mixed feelings when it comes to feng shui. I believe in it but some of the principles can be quite chalenging to follow; I try to follow those that I can. Here are 10 feng shui mistakes in the bedroom. You may not be able to avoid them all but do what you can and perhaps you’ll sleep better, have more energy, and who knows!
A recent post was plants that are of benefit in the bedroom. One of these 10 principles is no plants in the bedroom. Just after I bought all of these plants for the bedroom. Sigh!

80s Inspired Kitchens
Not a great selection but an interesting, somewhat amusing, or startling selection of 80s inspired kitchens. I’m not sure I’m seeing 80s but lets just go along with that.
Now I must add. When renovating your kitchen are you doing it for yourself? What are your long term plans for your home? Will you be there for 20 years? Or are you wanting to update your home and improve its value. A very personal kitchen doe not necessarily add value as it can be seen as a liability a detriment to the sale of your home. Most buyers are looking for a specific look or should I say a neutral look. It may not be a look that will excite anyone but it will please most. Otherwise someone may love the neighbourhood, the location of your house in that neighbourhood, your house itself and then they see your kitchen and see a need to spend thousands of dollars to make it theirs. Bold coloured cabinets, unusual counter tops have a limited appeal. You could find yourself looking for that one person for a long time. You could always add your own personality with small appliances, art, or colourful crockery.
The New Bohemian Style
The New Bohemian style, looks a little like anything goes but with some cohesion. It feels a little like university dorm grows up. But it is warm and casual and appears very comfortable. Its the sort of place where you could have children playing as they wish and you can always find another chair at the thrift shop or the garage sale. Not meaning to sound negative on this, I’m partly liking it, but ok, my brows furrowed a little.
You’ll remember that a couple of months ago I did post Ikea’s new Boho line – take a look at it.
45 Ways to Make Your Home the Cleanest it’s Ever Been
Some of these are quite simple and clever. I can live with a little dust more than I can a mess of things not in there place. But that being said here are 45 ideas to help us with the fight against dust.
Run-Down Bungalow Turned into Sleek Home
Love this!
Wish we were seeing more of this in the city. More renovating of existing homes as opposed to tearing down and building monster homes that do not fit in the neighbourhood; and in fact winds up destroying the spirit of the neighbourhood. Why if families are so much smaller do we need houses that are so much larger. So many mysteries! So many questions! And so few answers!

House Colours Accoding to Your Zodiac Sign
Who knew you could decorate around your zodiac sign! Very nice if your single but what about a couple. Perhaps you get this room and I’ll get that one.
Groovy 60’s Pad For Sale in Texas
Indeed this house for sale in Texas does seem very groovy. Love the indoor pool! In our climate if I had a pool I`d want it to be an indoor one. Otherwise too much work for too brief a season – that`s my line and I`m sticking to it. In Texas an outdoor pool would be ok but in this groovy house it`s indoors: bonus.
