The real estate statistics for the next couple of months will look terrible! For instance CTV tells us that Ottawa home prices have dropped $130,000 in one year. What’s to be remembered is we are referring back to an overheated market. Comparing this time to that will of course have a huge contrast. BUT, if rather than comparing current activity to February 2022, you go back in time to February 2021 and February 2020 you will see a very different picture. One that better reflects the progressive increase in real estate value.
